Invisalign Perth

Regardless of age, everyone deserves to have confidence in their smile. Straightening your teeth is often the quickest and most straightforward way to achieve a better smile. Orthodontic treatment has come a long way in recent years. In the past, if you didn’t straighten your teeth to correct your alignment during your younger years, you would have a crooked smile forever. Well, that’s not the case anymore. With advanced cosmetic treatments such as the Invisalign system, you can have straight teeth in no time.

What is Invisalign Treatment?

The Invisalign treatment process is used to straighten your teeth by wearing clear, custom-made aligners specially designed for you by our Aria Invisalign Provider. The clear plastic aligners fit over and around your teeth, and your aligners will gradually and discretely align your teeth into their ideal position.

Invisalign Clear Aligners are perfect for correcting overbites, underbites, cross-bites, gap teeth, open bites, crowded teeth and crooked teeth. The Invisalign system uses a series of aligners that have each been custom-made. Each one acts as a transparent and non-fixed alternative (like invisible braces) to other teeth alignment treatments such as braces or metal retainers.

How does the Invisalign Clear Aligner System work?

Invisalign system uses a series of custom-made, virtually invisible aligners that you need to change every one to two weeks until your teeth have moved into the correct position. Each set of Invisalign aligners builds on the previous set’s work, straightening your teeth throughout your treatment.

The custom-made aligners are made from clear, medical-grade plastic, making them virtually invisible. They look like a very thin sports mouthguard and are tailored to fit the individual shape of your teeth and jaw. Your Invisalign Perth Provider recommends you wear them for 20 to 22 hours per day to get the best results, allowing you the flexibility to take them out for eating, special occasions, or important work meetings.

The Benefits of Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign offers you a beautiful result with the flexibility you’ve always wanted.

  • They are hygienic: You can keep on top of your oral hygiene, as they are removable when eating, brushing, and flossing.

  • They are virtually invisible: The fact that Invisalign aligners are clear means they can go undetected compared to traditional braces.

  • They fit in with your lifestyle: The removable aligners make it possible to carry on playing sports and musical instruments. The aligners are easy to remove, and you can carry on as usual.

  • They straighten teeth quickly: In many cases, Invisalign treatment can be much faster than traditional braces. Your Invisalign provider will be able to tell you more about how long your treatment is expected to last.

Invisalign Clear Braces Comprehensive

This is the most effective option if you need major orthodontic work. The aligners should start to deliver the results within 12 to 18 months.

Invisalign Aligners Lite

For minor correction to the six front teeth, Invisalign Lite can straighten your teeth in as little as six months.

Invisalign Treatment Express

Problems with the six front teeth can also be corrected with Invisalign Express. You can expect to see results in just three months.

Invisalign for Kids – Invisalign First

Invisalign also have a specific version just for children. Designed for kids, Invisalign First aligners help to prepare the teeth and jaw if our Invisalign provider has identified potential orthodontic problems in your child. These aligners help to take a proactive approach to treatment and could help to reduce the extent of orthodontic work your child may require in their teenage years.

Invisalign clear aligners are also suitable for teens and we can include a blue dot wear indicator on each set of aligners as a reminder to wear them for the recommended 22 hours a day.

Am I Eligible for Invisalign Treatment?

To determine if you are an eligible candidate for Invisalign, as with all medical treatments, there are some things to consider when determining if Invisalign is suitable for you. These include the following things to consider:

Physically appropriate

Although Invisalign treatment is suitable for kids and older, you may need to seek a professional opinion to determine if your misalignment can be fixed with Invisalign, or if you need more advanced treatment.

Do you have the staying power?

Since the average Invisalign treatment time can be between 12 to 18 months and they are removable, the treatment requires a certain level of personal commitment to ensure the aligner remains in the mouth for at least 22 hours a day.

Does your health insurance cover costs?

Invisalign treatment is eligible under most private health insurance providers’ cover, but it’s important to check your specific provider or cover to make sure you aren’t missing out with your rebate amount.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

So, how much does Invisalign cost? Our Aria Dental providers can complete your Invisalign treatment in Perth for between $6,000 to $9,000* for the standard treatment and $4,000 to $5,000* for minor treatments. Your Invisalign cost can be spread out over payments if required.

Your Invisalign cost depends on factors such as:

  • Length of Invisalign treatment
  • Number of clear aligners needed
  • Mid-treatment custom-made aligner adjustments

*Pricing information may change.

Invisalign clear aligners are classified as orthodontic work, making them eligible to be covered by private health insurance. Check your dental care policy coverage to see if you qualify for orthodontic or mouth guards. If you need to change providers or increase your limit, you will likely need to wait 12 months before you can claim this treatment. We can provide you with a treatment plan for your health fund to review. You can also consider a dental payment plan.

As with any teeth straightening treatment, such as Invisalign clear aligners and traditional braces, it is important to understand that every patient has different requirements, and as a result, costs may differ accordingly.

Invisalign Perth WA payment options

At Aria Dental, we offer a range of ‘no interest finance’ payment plans such as ZIP, Humm, and Afterpay. We recommend discussing your Invisalign clear aligners with your health fund, family/or trusted financial adviser before selecting your payment option.

Aria offers teeth straightening services at our Perth CBD and Midland locations.

When should you see an Orthodontist?

Many of our patients are surprised to learn that crooked teeth and a bad bite are often directly linked to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal wear of tooth enamel, headaches, and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain. A dentist-led orthodontic treatment can help you with all these underlying problems while delivering you an excellent cosmetic result. Orthodontic specialists can make expert decisions on what is best for your smile and your dental health. If required, your Aria dentist may refer your case for major overcrowded teeth, overbite/ underbite, and unevenly spaced teeth, which can cause problems with your oral hygiene.

braces on teethMetal braces are the most common type of braces. Developed from a high-grade stainless steel, they are small in size, and designed to improve your comfort. Metal braces are the most common treatment when people think about teeth straightening.

women with clear bracesClear braces are made from translucent material and are more popular with adults due to their cosmetic appeal. There are a few minor inconveniences to ceramic brackets. They are more fragile in design and discolouring can sometimes occur with the elastic ties between orthodontic visits, but offer great results for straight teeth.

Invisalign Patients FAQs

Will the Invisalign treatment be painful?

The force that Invisalign applies to your teeth is gentler and more consistent to achieve straight teeth. However, there may be times that there will be some discomfort with this type of dental care, although this will not be as common as with traditional braces adjustments.

Can I get my health insurance to cover for my Invisalign treatments?

Most dental insurance plans cover some orthodontic treatment (Invisalign/braces) depending on the company and your level of cover. It would be best to contact your private health insurance fund and see if you are able to make a claim on your upcoming orthodontic treatment with your current policy. Aria also offers payment plans, if required.

I already have braces - can I switch over to Invisalign?

Very possibly. It’s best to visit your local dentist to ask and assess. If you’d like to make the switch and explore what’s possible, you can visit us at Aria Dental and set an initial consultation appointment with one of our experienced Invisalign dentists.

Since having braces, my teeth have shifted back. Can Invisalign fix this for me?

Yes. If you’ve experienced failed Orthodontic treatment in the past, you can always explore other orthodontic or cosmetic treatment to get the results you’ve wanted with one of our experienced cosmetic dentists.

Are there any food restrictions when going through the Invisalign treatment?

You will have no food restrictions when going through the treatment. Unlike braces, there are no concerns about food getting stuck in the wires or hard bites taking off brackets. Invisalign allows you to enjoy any of the food you would normally eat without treatment.

How long do I have to keep my Invisalign aligners on to get the maximum result?

Invisalign aligners need to be on for at least 20 to 22 hours per day to get the maximum result you want. It’s best to keep them on for the majority of the day and while you sleep.

How do you clean your Invisalign clear aligners?
It is important to clean your Invisalign trays every time you brush your teeth to keep your set of aligners clean by the following methods from Invisalign :
  • Soaking aligners in denture or retainer cleaning solution
  • Lightly brushing with toothpaste

Can I get Invisalign if I have cavities?
Invisalign clear braces will not directly lead to cavities, but if you do not clean your teeth after eating, you could develop cavities as you may trap harmful bacteria. This is why it is important to remember to rinse out your set of aligners, as well as your mouth after a meal and follow your Invisalign provider care instructions.
Can you get Invisalign after veneers?
Yes this is possible, if the veneers are healthy, and are strongly and properly bonded to your teeth; but check with your dentist for a more detailed assessment and information.
Can Invisalign close gaps?
Yes, your custom-made Invisalign clear aligners can fix gaps in teeth. We can help you close gaps in teeth through an Invisalign treatment suited for you.
Does Invisalign damage teeth?

Invisalign clear braces have the potential to cause root damage without proper care. However, if you care for your aligners and make oral hygiene a top priority, the risk of experiencing tooth damage is low. Good oral hygiene is as simple as visiting the dentist every six months for routine check-ups and tray cleanings can help to prevent root damage from occurring.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?

Only for a short while. As your tongue gets used to having Invisalign aligners, you might carry a short lisp. But this will
go away after a short amount of time to adjust.

Do I need retainers after Invisalign?
Yes, you will need to wear a retainer after your custom-made Invisalign treatment time. Invisalign moves teeth in a different method to braces, however, the result is still the same. You will need to wear retainers in order to keep your straight teeth and your Invisalign Provider will provide you with these.
