Dr James is a dedicated and compassionate dentist with a strong commitment to community-focused care. Born in Zimbabwe, he immigrated to Perth, Australia in 2009, where he completed his secondary education at Shenton College before going on to earn a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2018.
Before entering the workforce, Dr James volunteered in remote regions of Peru, gaining invaluable clinical experience and a deep appreciation for the importance of accessible healthcare. Upon returning to Australia, he chose to practise dentistry in Karratha, driven by a passion for serving underserved communities and providing culturally safe dental care, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients. He lived and worked in Karratha full time for six years, becoming an active part of the community, before transitioning to a part-time schedule in 2025 to join the experienced team at Aria Dental. He now divides his time between Karratha and Aria Dental on a two-week rotational basis.
Dr James is known for his supportive, gentle, and empathetic approach, always striving to make patients feel comfortable and understood. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he has a special interest in oral surgery and implant rehabilitation. He has also been actively involved in organising health promotion initiatives in Karratha, visiting primary schools and community centres to educate children and families on the importance of good oral hygiene.
Committed to maintaining the highest clinical standards, Dr James has completed the Primary Examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS). He strongly believes in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, regularly attending courses to stay current with advances in dental technology, clinical techniques, and patient safety.
Outside of dentistry, Dr James is an avid sports enthusiast and proudly considers himself a die-hard Arsenal supporter. He values an active lifestyle, currently training for a marathon and embracing life as a member of the CrossFit community.
