Relax. You’re at the dentist.
Imagine slowly drifting away into a deep and peaceful sleep, completely oblivious to everything around you, including your treatment. There’s no pain, no noises, just peace and tranquility. And depending on the sedation option you choose, you may not even remember a thing.
Aria Dental (in the Perth CBD) offers a variety of sedation options, from light, oral (anti-anxiolytic) medications to gently relax you, to intravenous sedation techniques where you’ll be deeply relaxed and not remember your treatment afterwards.
Your dentist will discuss all appropriate sleep dentistry options available to you so that you can both agree on the best course of action for your treatment.
For some, a trip to the dentist can be quite unsettling. Perhaps you’ve had a negative experience that triggers an uncomfortable amount of fear or anxiety. Or perhaps you have a strong gag reflex, or suffer from a generalised anxiety disorder (We’ve written an article about fear of the dentist and dental anxiety concerns here). No matter what the reason, at Aria Dental, Perth, we understand your concerns and requirements. We’re here to support you by providing a range of sedation options to help put you completely at ease, no matter how anxious you feel.

More than wonderfully relaxing, sedation dentistry is efficient
Now, there’s no need to put off important dental work when you can enjoy the relaxing, calming benefits of sedation or sleep dentistry.
After your dental treatment
The staff at Aria Dental will take thorough care of you throughout your appointment. Those who have even the slightest of anxiety issues can be reassured that our staff will be there to support and listen to you throughout your treatment.
After your procedure, you’ll be taken to our recovery area to be monitored. Your recovery time here will depend on your needs, the type of sedation given and the procedure performed.
Once you are ready for discharge, the nursing staff will provide you with verbal and written post-operative instructions. We advise that a responsible adult is with you during these discussions in case you forget any details. They should also accompany or drive you home and stay with you for the rest of the day.
