Socket Preservation

A simple procedure involving a bone graft recommended before your dental implant placement

Home » Cosmetic Dentistry » Socket Preservation

Socket preservation (augmentation) is a procedure that can be performed after tooth extraction to maximise the possibility and predictability of your future implant placement.

After extraction, the bone can resorb quite significantly, which makes placing dental implants far more challenging. By using a bone graft, socket preservation aims to minimise the amount of bone resorption and preserve the tooth socket. This increases the chance of successful implant treatment ahead.

Aria Dental has patients travelling from all over Western Australia to have our highly trained dental professionals perform socket preservation procedures. Due to our central location in the Perth CBD, we are particularly accessible for patients in West Perth, East Perth, South Perth, North Perth, Subiaco, Leederville, Mount Hawthorn, Northbridge and surrounding suburbs.
